8bit killer is an FPS (First Person Shooter) arcade and action game that looks similar to the 8-bit Nintendo games. The image textures are of 32x32 pixels, with a palette of 64 colours and 1-bit audio. So what does all this mean? Well, the game has an old look, from the old school. 8bit killer reminds you of classic games like Contra, Megaman, Bionic Commando, Metroid, Wolfenstein 3D, etc.
The story is the following: the world has been dominated by aliens after a world war has decimated the human race.
The player has to complete a mission within a resisitance group created to defend the survivors of the planet, who are few in number. And for this you have to destroy all the aliens. To have fun and remember the old times, the game reminds you of the movie Mad Max.
